CZECH REPUBLIC

České srdce is a Czech music group founded in 1989. The original line-up consisted of Pavel Kučera (bass guitar and vocals), Michal Šenbauer (guitar), Karel Holas (violin) and Ondřej Mucha (drums). In 1990, the band released their self-titled debut album. Her performance combines melodic guitar rock with Celtic music inspiration. Michal Šenbauer characterized the group's style in an interview for Melodie magazine: "The repertoire is based on an affinity with the musical sensibilities of the northern coast of Great Britain." Its repertoire also includes cover versions of songs by the groups U2 and Led Zeppelin. Alan Stivell (one of the greatest legends of Celtic music), Ronan Le Bars, Michal Pavlíček, Blanka Šrůmová and Lucie Bílá worked with the group.

The group has performed around 300 concerts abroad, mainly in Brittany, France, where it had great success for its combination of rock and Celtic music. There she also received the prize for originality at the Quimper festival in 1991.
